PLEASE SEND ANY LETTERS TO MY EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH IS ON THE FIRST PAGE .
I REALISE READERS PUT MESSAGES IN THE GUEST BOOK . IT WOULD APPEAR THAT SOME PEOPLE
WANT TO PUT ACCROSS THEIR POINTS OF VIEW BUT DO NOT HAVE THE COURAGE TO ACTUALLY SIGN THEIR NAME. THE QUESTION I HAVE
IS WHY ARE PEOPLE SO FRIGHTENED TO PUT THEIR NAMES TO THEIR CREATIVE WORDS! WRITE TO ME
IN AN E-MAIL AND THEN AT LEAST I WILL HAVE AN ACTIVE E-MAIL ADDRESS TO REPLY TO.
YOUR LETTERS!

Dear Patrick. I have been reading through your web site yet again and came across the question when was the first recoded 9 dart
game hit.
My good friend Bill Perry had
told me about this feat and I did not give it any more thought until I read your question. But in Tommy Barrett's book on darts
it gives details. In the introduction
pages marked xiii
Alec Hughes playing from the Cuckoo Hotel Lodge Lane Liverpool. Won his house title in a perfect 9 dart game 180/ 180/ 141 (51.54.36) as i said Bill Perry told me it was covered in the newspapers back then and obviously Tom Barrett
has it in his book so I should think it did happen as they say year was 1963. hope that helps!

hi folks.some great darts at the doubles on monday night, played in good spirit
throughout, which was nice to see.one serious point though, there were some idiots smoking inside the venue at the front door,as
a result the back room was full of dangerous cigarette smoke, there was me thinking those dark days were behind us.i have of
course reported this to the relevant authorities.lets hope the people responsible for this read this and mend there ways in
the future |

(A VERY GOOD POINT. THE LAW IS THE LAW FOR EVERYBODY!) |
Jim I hope these eejits who have given you this" resignation " demand
should make them selves accountable as to my memory I think all teams except firs were @ meeting and the only teams
not gaining anything are the ECHS who for years have been able to walk to venue and have a game and a drink @ the same
time with no worries on getting home whereas others have paid for taxis from there own club funds in order to do the
same. The venue is now more central to @ least 5 teams able to walk to venue I know there are voices @ times about decisions
made but the agm is the time to voice them--oh but there was none
The committee does a grand job in the scheme of
things and I am glad that you 3 stand up and take on the duties because I do not think thta anyone else would or could
with the same devotion.
Lets just get down to enjoying our darts on a monday night and having some fun.
Jason
Rae ps I speak for all the Jason Rae,s in the league
( I KNOW THAT LAST SEASON
YOU KEPT ME INFORMED OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING ON A MONDAY NIGHT WITH YOUR OWN TEAM AND YOUR OPONENTS WITH REGARDS TO SCORES ETC .
SO TO SAY YOU HAVE YOUR FINGER ON THE PULSE IS NOT FAR FROM THE TRUTH. I HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO HELP WITH INFORMATION SO
I CAN FILL UP THE PAGES. THANK YOU)
Dear Jim, Well as you say on the web page the season has hardly started and already
the fireworks are going off like the 4th of July. Ok lets start with the unnamed person who sent the letter, why no name on
it because lets face it you will be unveiled sooner rather than later. I hope this person has very good reason for doing
this and not just sour grapes over things that may have happened, this league has rebuilt itself over the last 5 or 6 years
with the current committee at the front tackling things head on, Yes the venue has changed but that should not affect
the people playing the game at the AGM there was no mention at all about people being unhappy with the present committee and
the delegates where then given the chance to voice their concerns over the change of venue at the next meeting at which they
did by voting for the new venue. This behaviour is very childish and whilst i believe everybody is entitled to their own opinion
they should at least put there name beside it. i have been involved with no confidence votes in darts before (not in west
lothian i may add ) and let me assure you it was usually started by somebody out to get something for themselves or who
doesn't really like someone within the current administration, this only brings negativity into the game when in fact darts
is enjoying some the best times since the classic years of the 80's. The only thing this letters does is
harm the game that we all love, so in ending i say to this person if you have something to say stand up and let us all hear
it and let the committee give a proper response , otherwise please put your poison pen down pick up you darts and start acting
like a dart player again as the darts world does not need any more arguing with in itself after years of CHILDISH BICKERING
and believe me that is exactly what this is, unfortunately i still see this all to often in various darts sites from
all over the UK. In ending may i wish all darts players whoever you play for at whatever level the very best for the
coming season in your respective leagues/competitions. until the next rant from inside the cab yours in the sport of darts Chris Forsyth PDPA member (WELL AT LEAST
THIS DART PLAYER IS NOT AFRAID TO VOICE HIS OPINION AND SIGN HIS NAME!)

Hi Jim, Hope you got on alright last night (sadly you never received the money
that came to the best team in the league namely us!! only kidding no I'm not). I would like to thank everyone who has helped
and supported myself in connection with the darts and helped us raise the magnificent amount of almost £9,000 for the charity
Clic Sargent. My grandson Jay suffers from Leukemia (Acute Maeloid) when this first hit the family it was a shock and the
support received from friends within the darting community was fantastic being involved with darts for many years I was very
proud when the troops rallyed round and having a charity darts day in the cricket club raised over a £1,000 which went to
the aforementioned total. Again just a special thanks for their support and hopefully get the same response next year when
holding another event in aid of the childrens charity Clic Sargent. Jay at the moment is doing brilliant and is in remission.

Hi Jim (2nd part) Regarding the charity swim on the 12th May, my cousin Fiona
and myself swam from North to South Queensferry approximately a mile and a quarter and in 35 minutes, got great support from
the Forth Port Authorities, and Lt Colin Butcher from the Royal Navy, almost 200 people came down to support us on the day
of the swim, which was heart warming because the water wasn't. Next year we are hoping to set up an annual event to set a
time for the fastest crossing, this will be called the Clic Sargent Challenge. Anyone wishing to take on the challenge will
have to do it on behalf of the charity and we think it will take between 16 and 21 minutes, but not getting off the subject
well done to the darting community for their support and look forward to the comming season again the Cricket Club will be
up for it. Good to see so many good players coming back to play their darts in West Lothian and once again a force to be reconned
with. Cheers for now Colin and Rhona McMillan | WHAT DID I SAY BLOODY
FANTASTIC WELL DONE. AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS EVENT NEXT YEAR. ANY HELP I CAN GIVE JUST ASK. JIM
